Privacy & data
StoryWarmup runs in your browser. You can practise with just the timer or choose to record your answer on your device.
Visit counter
The site keeps a single anonymous count of visits. No cookies are used for it, and nothing about you or your visit is stored.
Microphone and recordings
Your microphone is used only when you choose to record and give permission. Only the speaking part is recorded. Recordings stay in this page’s memory and are never uploaded or analysed. You can listen, download or delete them. Trying again, changing questions, leaving practice or reloading removes the recording. Downloaded files stay on your device until you delete them.
What stays on your device
Your chosen language, last category, timer settings and current progress are saved in your browser’s local storage so you can pick up where you left off.
